Cloudsmith is looking for an exceptional Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team. You should have high growth b2b SaaS experience, ideally having worked for a Dev Tool or DevOps platform that solves problems for developer teams and businesses building out secure, cloud-based and high-velocity CI/CD pipelines.

Working closely with the Digital Marketing and Developer Relations teams to grow and scale the business, your focus will be on gathering market insights and understanding our customers’ needs, while developing, refining and communicating our products core and unique value propositions.

Where the Engineering team has the WHAT and the DevRel team has the HOW, we want you to own the WHY.

What The Job Involves

We’re looking for someone who can add value across our entire organisation, but to be more specific, our successful candidate will:

  • Research, define, and develop go-to-market strategies for use cases and solution offerings aimed at key personas, segments and ICPs
  • Develop strategies and materials for account based marketing programmes
  • Understand the customer journey and develop intent focussed content to match prospects and customers’ progress
  • Work closely with the Engineering and Dev Rel teams to translate the product and its capabilities into customer value. Translate this value into messaging that can be used across the organization
  • Work with customers and their marketing teams on case studies and use cases
  • Be responsible for messaging and execution of feature and product launches that tell a well articulated and differentiated story across all our use cases
  • Develop, nurture and manage co-marketing campaigns and activities with relevant partners across the globe
  • Lead competitive intelligence and strategy, providing input on pricing and undertaking win/loss analysis
  • Assist in the development and optimization of customer communications.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis on market potential and customer engagement
  • Be a key product spokesperson, creating relevant marketing content including multi-stakeholder sales materials, white papers, blog posts, video testimonials and presentations, feature release communications, and case studies

More About You

  • Has at least 2 years experience in product marketing, and ideally a good bit more. We’re looking for someone who understands how important product marketing is to a young high growth software company and somebody who has a track record of helping businesses stand out in a complex market
  • Has a technical background and understands modern system architecture, cloud based computing and DevOps culture and process
  • Has experience in software marketing, ideally directed towards the developer / technical community
  • Is that rare individual that has seen their career progress from Software Development to DevRel and now Marketing
  • Is a critical thinker and is data driven and detail oriented
  • Understands how to manage budgets and carefully allocate limited time and resources for maximum return given competing priorities
  • Relishes the ability to make a difference and is an impact player
  • Loves to get stuck in and is always keen to learn new ways to get the job done
  • Has a genuine passion for, and curiosity around, technology and software and is excited about working with a company on a mission to change the way software is developed, secured and distributed
  • Works well as part of a team and is best suited to a fast-growing, dynamic and stimulating work environment
  • Is the type of person who, when they identify a problem takes ownership of them
