# Swift support is GA 🚀

Calling all Swifties 🎵: We're thrilled to announce that Cloudsmith’s Swift Package Registry is now officially in General Availability (GA)! 🎉

Cloudsmith provides Swift package repositories on all plans, flexible enough for use whether you’re hosting public packages for a public or open-source project, or private packages for your company’s internal needs.

Swift is a powerful and intuitive programming language optimized when running on iOS, macOS, and other Apple platforms 🍎. Swift's small memory footprint, quick startup time, and deterministic performance make it a great choice for server and other networked applications. Learn more about Swift directly from the [Swift community](https://www.swift.org/).

**Key highlights**

- **Swift ⚡ package hosting**: Upload, store and distribute Swift packages for use by your team and pipelines.
- **Dependency management**: Proxy Swift packages from upstream sources and cache those packages within Cloudsmith.
- **Security scanning and policy management:** Scan Swift packages for vulnerabilities and license information, and build policies to ensure the packages in use within your organization meet security and compliance requirements 🛡️.
- **Make your software available to others**: Distribute Swift packages as open-source or commercial software.
