# Cloudsmith now supports R binaries

We are pleased to announce we have extended our support for CRAN repositories to include R binary support. Cloudsmith now supports the ability to upload (and distribute) source packages and Windows and macOS binaries (both for `arm64` & `x86_64`).

To upload binaries, you must specify the version of R that the binary was built for, and if it's a macOS binary, the architecture it was built for too. For more information, please view [our documentation](https://help.cloudsmith.io/docs/cran-repository).
